Texas Foundations Fund

The Texas Foundations Fund provides grants to nonprofit organizations and rural governmental entities (or their instrumentalities) for (i) the construction, rehabilitation, and/or critical repair of single family homes for Texas residents of very low or extremely low income, with a particular emphasis on serving people with disabilities and/or those living in rural Texas and (ii) the provision of additional supportive housing services for very low or extremely low income residents of multifamily rental units.

The Corporation has completed three award cycles.  Fourteen applicants have been awarded $50,000 each to carry out eligible activities under the Fund, totaling $700,000 in overall awards.  Four of the fourteen awards were given to entities specifically for the purpose of assisting individuals who had experienced damage due to Hurricanes Ike and Dolly.

On Thursday, August 11, 2011, TSAHC's Advisory Council recommended to the TSAHC Board of Directors that six nonprofits be each awarded a $50,000 grant.  We congratulate the following nonprofits on being awarded a grant under the Texas Foundations Fund.
