Many of our nonprofit partners depend on the work of volunteers to fuel their efforts to provide housing to very low-income Texans. We encourage you to explore the links below to see how you can help improve housing opportunities for families and individuals in your community.
You can also support the Texas Foundations Fund by making a tax deductible contribution through our online donation page or by contacting Katie Howard Claflin or Janie Taylor for longer term investment opportunities.
Foundation Communities: Teach an ESL or money management class to Foundation Communities’ Austin residents or build a community garden at one of Foundation Communities’ apartment complexes.
Interfaith Action of Central Texas: Help repair and revitalize homes of senior citizens and people with disabilities living in poverty.
Austin Habitat for Humanity: Help build a home for a low-income family or repair a home for a senior citizen, single parent family, or individual with a disability.
Green Doors: Help landscape a home for a person with a disability in Austin, distribute food at Green Doors’ food pantry, or plan a donation drive.
Easter Seals Central Texas: Help enrich services for people with disabilities living in central Texas.
Accessible Housing Austin!: Help repair rental housing units for families with a household member with a disability.
New Hope Housing, Inc.: Help New Hope Housing’s Houston residents by teaching a GED preparation course, offering computer literacy and job skills training, or providing tax preparation and financial counseling.
Midland Habitat for Humanity: Help build a home for a low-income family or work in the ReStore, which recycles and sells gently used building materials to the general public.
Fort Bend CORPS: Help make critically needed exterior repairs for elderly, disabled, and low-income homeowners who are physically and financially unable to make the needed repairs themselves.
