On Wednesday, October 22nd the Texas State Affordable Housing Corporation (TSAHC) presented a $16,000 check to Tierra Del Sol Housing Corporation. The check was presented by Jerry Romero, TSAHC Board Member. Accepting the check on behalf of Tierra Del Sol Housing Corporation was Executive Director Rose Garcia and Mike Rudloff, Housing Rehab Program Manager.
The grant was awarded as part of the 2014 cycle of TSAHC's Texas Foundations Fund program and will support critical home repairs for three very low-income families in El Paso County. Tierra Del Sol Housing Corporation will focus its award specifically on making the homes of senior and/or disabled homeowners safe, healthier, energy efficient and accessible. Repairs will include roof repairs or replacements, electrical system repairs, wastewater system repairs, repairs to doors and windows, heating and cooling system repairs, and accessibility modifications.
