TSAHC recently received a $22,000 grant from Bank of America in support of the Texas Supportive Housing Institute. Bank of America’s grant and partnership will allow TSAHC to provide affordable housing nonprofits with the training and support they need to create successful permanent supportive housing (PSH) communities in the Austin area.
As a nationwide model, PSH is considered the most effective housing intervention for individuals living with a serious persistent mental illness, and persons experiencing chronic homelessness or at-risk of homelessness. The service-enriched affordable housing provided by PSH communities helps the most vulnerable individuals and families lead more stable lives.
Bank of America's generous investment will support the 2022 Institute taking place this fall, as well as the efforts made by participating development teams to establish their PSH projects.
TSAHC is thankful for Bank of America's continued partnership and support of our programs!
