TSAHC recently received a $5,000 grant from Regions Bank in support of the Texas Supportive Housing Institute. With this grant, Regions is helping to provide affordable housing nonprofits with the training and support they need to create successful permanent supportive housing (PSH) projects in their communities.
As a nationwide model, PSH is considered the most effective housing intervention for individuals living with a serious persistent mental illness, and persons experiencing chronic homelessness or at-risk of homelessness. The service-enriched affordable housing provided by PSH communities helps the most vulnerable individuals and families lead more stable lives.
