Texas Capital Bank recently awarded TSAHC with a $50,000 grant in support of the 2022 Texas Supportive Housing Institute, which provides nonprofit developers with the information, resources, and tools to create successful permanent supportive housing (PSH) projects in their communities.
PSH is considered the most effective housing intervention for serving individuals living with a serious persistent mental illness, and persons experiencing chronic homelessness or at-risk of homelessness. The service-enriched affordable housing that PSH communities provide helps the most vulnerable individuals and families lead more stable lives.
With this grant, Texas Capital Bank is supporting the training and technical assistance provided by the 2022 Institute, as well as efforts made by the development teams to establish PSH projects in their communities.
We are thankful for Texas Capital Bank's continued partnership and generous investment in TSAHC and our programs!
TSAHC was created in 1994 as a self-sustaining nonprofit housing organization. At TSAHC we believe that every Texan deserves the opportunity to live in safe, decent and affordable housing. Our programs target the housing needs of low-income families and other underserved populations in Texas who do not have acceptable housing options through conventional financial channels. All TSAHC programs are offered statewide, with special attention given to rural areas and other select target areas.
