All Giving Opportunities
At TSAHC, we consider our funders to be partners in our mission to serve the housing needs of low-income Texans. We take pride in our track record of putting our investors’ funds to efficient and effective use. TSAHC currently offers the following investment opportunities.Contact us for more information
Texas Housing Impact Fund
Through our Texas Housing Impact Fund, TSAHC provides short-term and long-term loans to housing developers seeking to build affordable housing in their communities. TSAHC provides flexible loan rates that can be combined with other sources of financing, which assists affordable housing developers facing insufficient credit availability in traditional markets.
Affordable Housing Communities of Texas (ACT) Program
ACT is Texas’ first statewide land bank and land trust program. Through ACT, we acquire foreclosed and vacant properties from financial institutions, and then partner with local housing developers to turn these properties into affordable housing for working families.
Texas Foundations Fund
Through the Texas Foundations Fund, TSAHC provides grants to local non-profit organizations to fund housing services, including home repairs, supportive services, and housing counseling services, that provide stability to very low-income families.
Housing Connection
TSAHC believes in the power of education and building capacity for our nonprofit housing partners. Through Housing Connection, we partner with NeighborWorks America, a national nonprofit training provider, to provide local housing nonprofits with access to free training opportunities focusing on home buyer education, housing counseling, affordable housing development and real estate financing.
Sponsoring Housing Connection is a great way to support local nonprofits that help educate Texans about homeownership.
Texas Supportive Housing Institute
As the only training of its kind in Texas, the Texas Supportive Housing Institute educates and supports housing developers as they implement service-enriched, deeply affordable supportive housing for their communities.
Property Donations
Property donations are critical to the success of TSAHC’s Affordable Communities of Texas (ACT) Program, Texas’ first statewide land bank and land trust program.
Using our unique statutory authority to own property tax-free, TSAHC acquires foreclosed and vacant properties from financial institutions, local government entities and individuals, and then partners with local housing developers to rehabilitate these properties and sell or lease them to low-income families.
