An Update on the TSAHC’s Texas Foundations Fund: Disaster Recovery Grants

TSAHC provides grants to local housing nonprofits that provide home repairs and accessibility modifications, including repairs to homes that have been damaged by natural disasters. Please note that TSAHC is unable to assist households directly with home repairs.  If you are an individual in need of home repairs, you can view a list of our local nonprofit partners here.

Need Home Repairs?

If your home was damaged or destroyed in the floods, your first step is to call your insurance company and file a claim. Please note that flooding is not covered under most homeowners’ and renters’ insurance policies, unless you have a separate flood insurance policy.

If your property was damaged by the most recent flooding, you should also complete the Texas Division of Emergency Management’s damage survey here: https://damage.tdem.texas.gov/

Officials use this information to understand the scope of damage which can influence emergency declarations and federal aid.
