On Wednesday, March 12th, the Texas State Affordable Housing Corporation (TSAHC) presented a $15,000 check to The Women's Home to support the Jane Cizik Garden Place, an 87 unit permanent supportive housing complex located in the Spring Branch area of Houston . Accepting the check on behalf of The Women's Home were Michael Shirl, Chief Operating Officer; Marcia Tapp, Director of Resource Development; and Brenda White, Board President of The Women's Home.
The award was presented by Allison Schmitz and Ariana Campos, with the Office of State Representative Jessica Farrar, and Chris Bergmann, TSAHC Advisory Council member.
This grant will fund case management services provided to very low-income residents of the Jane Cizik Garden Place and was awarded as part of the 2013 cycle of TSAHC's Texas Foundations Fund program.
