TSAHC staff recently participated in a key ceremony for a home constructed under TSAHC's Affordable Communities of Texas Program with funding provided by Texas Community Bank.
Through TSAHC’s ACT program, Josh and Yolanda Rodriguez were able to qualify for a brand-new home that was both the perfect size for their growing family and within their budget. The Rodriguez’ new home is located in a quiet neighborhood just two miles east of downtown San Antonio.
TSAHC partnered with Greenboro Homes to construct the home and used funding from Texas Community Bank to keep the price affordable, even as the surrounding home prices increased.
To welcome the Rodriguezes to their new home, Texas Community Bank also covered a year’s worth of their internet expenses. Yolanda is particularly thankful for the internet. She is pursuing a Master of Nutrition at the University of the Incarnate Word and relies on fast, stable internet access to complete her schoolwork.
TSAHC was created in 1994 as a self-sustaining nonprofit housing organization. At TSAHC we believe that every Texan deserves the opportunity to live in safe, decent and affordable housing. Our programs target the housing needs of low-income families and other underserved populations in Texas who do not have acceptable housing options through conventional financial channels. All TSAHC programs are offered statewide, with special attention given to rural areas and other select target areas.
