The Texas State Affordable Housing Corporation (TSAHC) has been selected to receive a $30,000 grant from Texas Financial Education Endowment (TFEE) to support the Texas Statewide Homebuyer Education Program which provides training to nonprofit housing counselors who provide homebuyer and financial education to low and moderate income adults.
TFEE, created by the 82nd Legislature, supports and promotes financial capability, education, and responsibility of Texans. This is the first year grants were awarded by the endowment. The grant program is administered by the Finance Commission of Texas. For more information, please click here.
TSAHC was created in 1994 as a self-sustaining nonprofit housing organization. At TSAHC we believe that every Texan deserves the opportunity to live in safe, decent and affordable housing. Our programs target the housing needs of low-income families and other underserved populations in Texas who do not have acceptable housing options through conventional financial channels. All TSAHC programs are offered statewide, with special attention given to rural areas and other select target areas.
