Texas Foundations Fund: Annual Grants
Every year, TSAHC awards grants to support nonprofits providing critical home repairs, housing counseling services, and supportive housing services to very low-income Texans.
At A Glance
- For 501(c)3 nonprofits operating housing-related programs in Texas
- Applications accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until August 1 (or for as long as funding is available)
- Award amount dependent on organizational budget size
Texas Foundations Fund: Disaster Recovery
Through this program, TSAHC partners with nonprofits across Texas to provide critical home repairs for damage caused by natural disasters.
At A Glance
- For 501(c)3 nonprofits performing disaster-related critical home repairs for homeowners in Texas
- For weather-related disaster events that have been declared by a federal, state, and/or local or county disaster declaration
- Applications accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until July 31 (or for as long as funding is available)
- Award amount up to $30,000 per organization per declared disaster
Housing Connection
TSAHC offers in-person training workshops for nonprofits and local governments that provide housing and financial counseling and/or develop affordable and supportive housing.
At A Glance
- Trainings are instructor-led NeighborWorks America courses
- Tests and certifications are handled by NeighborWorks America
- TSAHC fundraises each year to cover the cost of the training courses and for hotel rooms for out-of-town participants
On-Demand Trainings
TSAHC offers free continuing education webinars, on-demand training courses, and technical assistance for nonprofits and local governments that provide home buyer and financial education and develop affordable and supportive housing.

Texas Supportive Housing Institute
TSAHC provides training and technical assistance to developers, service providers and property managers interested in creating and operating supportive housing in their communities.
At A Glance
- Development teams (made up of affordable housing developers, supportive services providers, and property managers) receive information, resources and tools to create successful permanent supportive housing developments
- The Institute is provided to teams at no cost, thanks to the generous support of TSAHC’s funders
- Each Institute takes place over the course of several months via a combination of in-person and virtual trainings
