Is Your Property In a Targeted Area?

TSAHC has created the following resources to help lenders, REALTORS® and home buyers determine if a property is in a targeted area.

Benefits of Purchasing in a Targeted Area

Eligibility requirements are different for home buyers purchasing in a targeted area.

  • Down Payment Assistance (DPA) only: Income Limits are higher
  • Combo DPA/MCC:   Income and purchase price limits are higher; the first-time home buyer requirement is waived.

Targeted Areas Map

This map can help lenders, REALTORS and home buyers determine if a specific property address is in a TSAHC targeted area.

Note: please wait a minute for the layers of the map to load before typing in the property address.

Targeted Areas Look Up Tool

TSAHC also provides a look up tool to help you determine if a property is located in a census tract that qualifies as a targeted area. To use the look up tool, simply follow the steps outlined below.

Step 1

Visit the FFIEC Mapping System

  1. In the Mapping System, set the year to 2023.
  2. Enter the full address of the property to be purchased.
  3. Combine the property’s 2 digit state code, 3 digit county code, then its 6 digit tract code – this will result in the property’s 11 digit FIPS number. See example.
