Top Performing Loan Officers and Mortgage Companies for 2017

(Austin)— In partnership with a network of dedicated mortgage loan officers in Texas, the Texas State Affordable Housing Corporation (TSAHC) helped 5,758 Texas families purchase a home in 2017 through the Homes for Texas Heroes and Home Sweet Texas Home Loan Programs. These low-to-moderate income families were able to qualify for a low fixed interest rate mortgage loan, a grant for down payment assistance and/or an annual federal tax credit to help purchase a home.

In total, TSAHC’s programs provided $863 million in mortgage loans and $35 million in down payment assistance grants to home buyers in 2017.  Additionally, 1,437 of the 5,758 families assisted were able to access a federal tax credit specifically for first-time buyers that saves them up to $2,000 each year on their income taxes.

TSAHC recently honored the top three loan officers for helping families purchase a home with its home buyer programs: 

Stacy Lynn Schriever with NTFN, Inc. dba Premier Nationwide Lending assisted 74 home buyers in 2017, originating more than $12.5 million in mortgage loans. This is the second consecutive year that Ms. Schriever has been recognized as a top TSAHC loan officer.

 

Ginger Smith with Right Start Mortgage assisted 53 home buyers in 2017, originating more than $9.1 million in mortgage loans. This is Ms. Smith’s third year to receive an award as a top TSAHC loan officer.
 

 

Liz White with PrimeLending assisted 50 home buyers in 2017, originating more than $6.3 million in mortgage loans. This is Ms. White’s first year to receive an award as a top TSAHC loan officer.

TSAHC would also like to acknowledge the top mortgage companies who participated in TSAHC’s home buyer programs in 2017:

PrimeLending:  assisted 680 home buyers, totaling more than $103.7 million in mortgage loans.

Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation:  assisted 460 home buyers, totaling more than $67.4 million in mortgage loans.

Guild Mortgage Company: assisted 420 home buyers, totaling more than $66.1 million in mortgage loans.
