On Wednesday, March 19th, the Texas State Affordable Housing Corporation (TSAHC) presented a $30,000 check to Motivation, Education, and Training, Inc. (MET). Accepting the check on behalf of MET was Beatriz Farias, Housing Services Coordinator. The award was presented by David Long, TSAHC President, and State Senator Eddie Lucio.
The grant was awarded as part of the 2013 cycle of TSAHC's Texas Foundations Fund program and will allow MET to provide critical home repairs for six very low-income farm workers in Willacy, Starr, Zavala, Maverick, and Dimmitt Counties.

TSAHC was created in 1994 as a self-sustaining nonprofit housing organization. At TSAHC we believe that every Texan deserves the opportunity to live in safe, decent and affordable housing. Our programs target the housing needs of low-income families and other underserved populations in Texas who do not have acceptable housing options through conventional financial channels. All TSAHC programs are offered statewide, with special attention given to rural areas and other select target areas.
