On June 9th, TSAHC and Texas Community Bank participated in a key ceremony to welcome Ervey Gomez, a Laredo teacher, to his new home.
Through our Affordable Communities of Texas Program, TSAHC acquired and renovated the home prior to selling it to Mr. Gomez. The 1,300 square-foot home has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, and is located about five miles southeast of downtown Laredo. TSAHC utilized funding from Texas Community Bank to fund the repairs and keep the sales price affordable.
As a first-time home buyer, Mr. Gomez is looking forward to making the home is his own. Texas Community Bank provided a stipend to help cover his internet expenses for a year.
