Created in 2008, the Texas Foundations Fund is TSAHC's annual grant opportunity for 501(c)(3) nonprofits that provide critical home repairs, supportive services, or housing counseling to very low-income Texans across the state.
We are pleased to announce that, this year, we've awarded a total of $1.25 million to 80 nonprofit grantees. With this year's $1.25 million investment, the Texas Foundations Fund has now provided over $13 million in grant funding to support housing stability in Texas.
While applications for TFF's 2026 annual funding round have closed, the application for TSAHC's FY2026 TFF Disaster Recovery program is still open for new and returning grantees. But we encourage organizations that are interested in applying for supplemental disaster recovery funding to apply soon -- the deadline to apply for FY2026 is July 31!
Nonprofits may apply for up to $30,000 per disaster event, and applications will be considered on a first-come, first-served basis until funding is fully expended. Organizations that have responded to declared natural disasters as of June 1, 2025 are eligible to apply. To learn more about the eligibility requirements for this program, click here.
Won't be able to apply for funding by the end of the month? Our FY2027 TFF Disaster Recovery program is expected to launch by the end of August and cover disasters that occur on or after June 1, 2026.
