Valerie Cardenas is Senior Vice President of Mortgage Lending for Texas National Bank in Edinburg, Texas. With more than 20 years of experience as a residential mortgage loan officer, she has helped hundreds of home buyers achieve their dream of homeownership. In addition to her role at Texas National Bank, Valerie also currently serves as Vice-Chair of TSAHC’s Board of Directors, which gives her a very unique perspective on both TSAHC’s programs and the mortgage industry as a whole.
Valerie has also served on the boards of other non-profit organizations, including Affordable Homes of South Texas, Inc., United Way of South Texas, and the American Diabetes Association of the Rio Grande Valley. Valerie also currently serves as a Planning and Zoning Commissioner in San Juan, where she lives with her husband and children.
