Next month, TSAHC will host its 2nd biennial Permanent Supportive Housing Symposium. The Symposium will take place November 4-5, 2025, in Austin at the Renaissance Austin Hotel.
This 1.5-day gathering will bring together developers, property managers, service providers, health professionals, homelessness response organizations, and others to share best practices, collaborate, and gain insight into how to work together to move families and individuals out of housing instability and into permanent, service-enriched housing.

The Symposium will kick-off with a plenary session featuring the renowned author Jeff Hobbs as the keynote speaker. Mr. Hobbs is the New York Times bestselling author of The Short and Tragic Life of Robert Peace, which won the Los Angeles Times Book Prize, was a finalist for the Pen/Faulkner Award in Biography, was a finalist for the Carnegie Medal in nonfiction, and was made into the 2024 film Rob Peace. He is also the author of Show Them You’re Good and Children of the State.
The Symposium will feature two additional plenaries on Wednesday, November 5th.
The Service Providers Roundtable Discussion will include three of the state’s top service providers who will discuss how they set their tenants up for long-term success while also navigating the challenges that make service delivery increasingly hard to pay for and sustain.
The Impact of Texas' Changing Demographics on the Demand for PSH will include representatives from the Texas Demographic Center and National Low Income Housing Coalition as they lead a presentation and discussion on how Texas' changing demographics are affecting the need for PSH.

Supportive Housing Academy
On November 3rd, TSAHC will host a 1-day Supportive Housing Academy led by industry experts from the Corporation for Supportive Housing. This high-level training on PSH is meant to educate those new to the PSH space and interested in developing PSH in their community.
Supportive Housing Tour
On the morning of Tuesday, November 4th, attendees can tour three supportive housing developments in Austin: Esparanza Crossing (The Other Ones Foundation), Cady Lofts (SGI Ventures), and the Bungalows at Century Park (Integral Care).
