Each year during Homeownership Month, we make it our mission to share helpful information and resources on homeownership and the process of buying a home.

For those who have never owned a home, we believe that being prepared for what to expect can make such a huge financial decision that much easier. And for those who have purchased a home before and are looking to buy again, it’s an opportunity to learn about key resources, like TSAHC’s down payment assistance, that can help make purchasing a new home that much more affordable.

Earlier this month, we shared about different home buyer fairs and events being held around the state during the month of June. We also shared our latest On the House podcast episode, An Inside Look at the Home Buying Process.

Today, we’d like to share some new resources we’ve created on the home buying process.

10 Steps to Buying a Home

Our homeownership team recently recorded an in-depth webinar on the home buying process called 10 Steps to Buying a Home. It shares important tips and information about each step of the home buying process, from housing hunting to closing on your mortgage.

We also created a fresh new flyer that shows all 10 Steps and can be a useful tool to have as you navigate the home buying process.

Additional Resources

Not only do we provide resources to help home buyers navigate the home buying process, we also provide down payment assistance and mortgage credit certificates to help make the home buying process more affordable.

To learn more about what TSAHC offers, click here.  We also provide a thorough FAQ that covers the most commonly asked questions about the programs we provide.

To see if you qualify for TSAHC’s programs, you can take our Eligibility Quiz.  Not only will you learn if you qualify, but you will also be given a list of participating lenders in your area that can help you sign up.
